Dear Studio Paris 16 Guests,
Welcome to romantic Paris! If you are staying with us in mid-July, you are in luck—you'll have the chance to experience the biggest celebration of the year in France: Bastille Day (Fête Nationale) on July 14th!
To ensure your Parisian trip is unforgettable, we’ve put together the latest guide for the 2026 Bastille Day fireworks and festivities. As a guest staying in the 16th arrondissement, you are in a prime location to enjoy the spectacular events!
🌟 Important Update: The 2026 Eiffel Tower Fireworks Have Been Moved Up to July 13th!
There is a very special change this year: the grand Eiffel Tower fireworks show in central Paris will exceptionally take place a day early, on July 13th!
At the Champ-de-Mars and the Eiffel Tower, there will be a massive free concert, a stunning light show featuring 1,600 drones, and a dazzling fireworks display composed of 12 acts.
💡 Studio Paris 16 Exclusive Tip: The 16th arrondissement is incredibly close to the Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro! You can easily walk or take a short ride on public transport to the banks of the Seine to secure the best viewing spot. After the event, you can quickly and comfortably return to the apartment to rest, avoiding the long, crowded commute.
🪖 July 14th: The Traditional Military Parade on the Champs-Elysées
On the actual national holiday, July 14th, head over to the Champs-Elysées to watch the traditional military parade. Accompanied by the spectacular flyover of Air Force jets, this is the perfect moment to experience French national pride and a true visual feast.
💃 Party Like a True Parisian: The Firemen's Balls (Bals des pompiers)
Want to celebrate like a local? Don't miss the "Firemen's Balls" and popular dances taking place over three consecutive nights on July 12th, 13th, and 14th! Many fire stations across Paris open their doors to the public, transforming into open-air dance floors. You can dance, party, and experience the most authentic and vibrant Parisian nights.
🗺️ Other Options in the Greater Paris Region
If you want to escape the downtown crowds and explore the surrounding areas, other departments in the Île-de-France region (such as Yvelines, Seine-et-Marne, and Essonne) will also host unique fireworks displays, concerts, and waterside celebrations on the 13th and 14th.
📌 Practical Tips from Your Host:
Traffic & Transit: During the festivities (especially around the fireworks), several metro stations (RATP) near the Eiffel Tower will be closed, and there will be traffic and parking restrictions in the area. Please check the latest transport updates before heading out. We highly recommend taking advantage of the convenient walking routes from our 16th arrondissement location!
Arrive Early: If you want to enjoy the concert and fireworks up close on the Champ-de-Mars on July 13th, be sure to head there in the afternoon with a picnic to claim your spot.
At Studio Paris 16, we strive to provide you with the most comfortable stay and the best local tips. If you have any questions about navigating the city or need recommendations for local restaurants, please feel free to reach out to us anytime.
Wishing you an unforgettable Bastille Day holiday in Paris!
